This model consists of an LED transmitter and an Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) . The Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) varies when blood goes up and down which means the finger becomes darker and normal. Oxygen in the blood will absorb all the light from the LED leading the Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) output to decrease. The variation can get the heart rate of a human. This model is also called an Oximeter. The Application of this Heart rate monitor is that it has a GPS and GPRS. In cases where the elderly are alone and have heart issues and have chances of having a heart attack, this model proves to be very useful. If a person endures a heart attack, then it will be reflected in the oximeter. The oximeter connected to Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) with a microcontroller starts its function as soon as the microcontroller receives an abnormal reading. It will receive the location using GPS. GPS uses three satellite systems which means as soon as the GPS gets a clear view of 3 satellites it will transfer the location coordinates in Marine Language. Marine language is a code language used to establish a ship to ship communication. When we decode the received signal we obtain the latitude and longitude of the location. Then with Google maps, we can determine the exact position. The next phase includes GPRS sim 300 GSM technology through which it will send a message to the concerned person with the coordinates.
