Nowadays, in such a high-paced world, waiting in a queue to park your car can be very time-consuming and tedious in places like shopping malls, airports, etc. To cope with this problem we have introduced a car parking system wherein drivers won't have to wait near the entrance booth to pay and leave. In this system, an infrared light sensor along with a receiver at a distance is placed near the entrance and below every car in the parking spot. As soon as a car enters and drives into a parking spot, the sensor picks up the signal and starts the billing of the car. The signal from the receiver is then given to a microcontroller which can be used to know when a car was parked. The amount of parking cost and amount of parking time both can be incremented by incrementing the inbuilt registers. Now as soon as a car exits, an LCD display connected to the microcontroller displays the timings of entry, exit, and total bill amount accordingly. If the ground level is fully parked then a motor connected to the microcontroller activates a lift which takes the car to the upper level. The indications for parking would be a blinking LED, already parked would be a red LED and available parking would be a green LED. Hence, this system makes it easier for car parking in crowded places and thus reducing the load on the watchmen.
