Vayun Rajesh Ekbote is an electronics aficionado, who has completed his Diploma in Electronics Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, with a cumulative percentage of 98.74% and 1st rank in the department. His fields of interest are Internet of Things, computer programming and Machine learning.
He is currently working as a Research Intern in Ninad's Research Laboratory, Thane. He is helping in the project; 'machine vision-based low-cost medical strip analyzer' at the laboratory. He has previously worked on projects outside the laboratory like IoT based panic alarm using NodeMCU, Covid-19 symptom detection kit using Arduino UNO, RFID attendance system using 8051 microcontroller, small scale tree transplantation device and R/C aircraft (aeromodelling). He also assists in building a website for the laboratory.
Vayun was part of the 2 member team that made it to the semi-finals of the event robosoccer in VJTI Technovanza 2018. He was also a part of the four-member team that won the first prize for devices and ideas promoting, in the category gender equality, at the International Adolescent Summit, New Delhi (2016) and the two-member team which won third prize for tree transplantation system at an interschool competition, Mulund (2017).
Vayun's technical skills are his aptitude for programming, proficiency in Python, and work experience with HTML, CSS, SQL and C++ for Arduino IDE. Along with these, he has good communication and leadership skills, is a quick learner and is receptive to learning and feedback. He is also fond of playing football and reading books about Indian mythology.
